Bright Pink Lip Combo // Makeup Monday #3

Today I want to share with you a bright pink lipliner and lipstick combo that I have been enjoying. I know you're supposed to wear subdued / deeper colours in winter but since I don't have much time in the mornings to do anything fancy with the eyes, I like to make my lips pop a bit more so I'm not all bland. Love to know your favourite lip colour of the moment. Hope you enjoy!

| L.A. Colors AL569 Fiery Red Auto Lipliner
It's not the best lipliner in terms of longevity but you will still see colour after a meal. It is just ever so much deeper than the lipstick and provides a nice base. It's also great that you don't have to sharpen it and it's currently US$1.50 on CherryCulture!
| Bourjois Sweet Kiss Lipstick in 57 Fuchsia Class
This is definitely a lipstick that you need lipliner with because it is quite hard to apply precisely (unless of course you use a lip brush but who has time for that :p). It's a super pretty fuchsia pink colour as the name suggests and the staying power isn't great but it is moisturising and doesn't dry out my lips at all.

How many lipsticks do you own?

120.. and they're just the ones in Melbourne that I can find (not including glosses, balms, pencils or liners). I brought the large majority of my lipstick collection with me when I moved but I know there are a few left in Sydney and a few hiding in bags somewhere..

First ever lipstick - Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Jive

What was your first ever lipstick?

I remember so clearly going to Priceline in high school and buying the Australis Colour Inject Mineral lipstick in Jive. First ever lipstick I loved and bought a backup for.

What is your most worn lipstick?

It's probably Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Pink Please. It's not my favourite lipstick in the world but it's so easy to wear. Literally goes with everything and somehow it always ends up on my lips because it's always just sitting in a convenient place.

What is your favourite brand for lipstick?

Definitely NYX. They're Black Label Lipstick are AMAZING and they're Round Lipstick aren't so bad either. Not to mention they're lip glosses and tinted lip products are also amazeballs.

What is your favourite finish?

Definitely cream. Can't stand a frost. Will sometimes go for the odd matte look.

What was the last lip product you bought?

Haven't shopped in a while..(for lips).. I think I bought the Bourjois Sweet Kiss 57 Fuchsia Class at the Priceline 40% Off sale.

How many lip products do you currently have in your handbag? (Including balms and glosses)

Only 4. I've been very good (something burst in my bag from cabin pressure so I just cleaned it out). A random lip balm - Maybelline Baby Lips Color in Berry Crush - MUA Lipboom in Cheeky - Milani Buzz Worthy Lipgloss in 03 Bee Rich.

What lipstick do you use to rock a red lip?

TBH I rarely rock a red lip but when I just recently picked up this red lip combo - Essence Lipliner in 10 Femme Fatale and Lipstick in 48 Red Carpet

How do you store your lipsticks?

In a big clear acrylic container from IKEA. I don't think they sell it anymore but it has three sections and a detachable you can use to hold brushes (because it's supposed to hold ALL your makeup). I don't use the detachable bit, but I place all my pink/coral/peach lipsticks and a container full of lip liners into the big section (half); nude/berry/red lipsticks in a smaller section and tinted lip balm types in another smaller section. I used to be able to fit all my lipglosses in there as well.. but unfortunately no more. They have been migrated to an apple container .. i.e. the container that you get when you buy apples..

What lip products are you currently lusting after?

Chanel Rouge Allures - yes the clicky ones. Can never have too many Dior Lipsticks.. and I'd like a few MAC ones too. I think I only have two lipsticks and two lipglosses at the moment.

Review | Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners // Makeup Monday #1

I decided to try these under the recommendation of FleurDeForce from YouTube and they are 50% OFF at Chemist Warehouse (and the black one is a GWP) so I couldn't say no!

What Rimmel says:
- Long lasting shocking color intensity with kohl Britania
- High intensity color for an instant color impact
- Ultra smooth & creamy formula that glides on easily
- Waterproof, smudge-proof, sweat-proof, heat-proof, humidity-proof and scandal-proof
- Dermatologist & ophthalmologist tested. Safe for sensitive eyes.

What I say:
- Great colour pay-off and pigmentation with one swipe (see swatches)
- Super creamy formula for easy applicable, but not too soft that it gets messy
- Don't set too quickly, allowing colour to be blended for a softer, smoky effect
- Once set, liner is smudge-proof and water-proof (for application on lash line, see below for waterline/tight-line application). Setting time will increase with a thicker layer of product.
- "Dermatologist & ophthalmologist tested" means nothing when you don't know who the professional is and what their credentials are, but I do have sensitive eyes and I wear contact lenses and the eyeliners didn't cause any irritation (:

black: very dark black / matte finish

bronze: dark brown with gold shimmer / metallic finish

taupe: light neutral taupe / matte finish

swatched with three swipes for thicker line

rubbed vigorously after a minute to set / note_ thicker swatch had not set completely

water tested by rubbing vigorously under cold tap water

shower tested by rubbing vigorously with shower puff (with body wash) under warm water / note_ I was rubbing very hard and you can see my hand's a little bit red there. I could've rubbed it all off but I wanted to leave something to photograph

And..
- It's great for lazy days when all you have time for is eyeliner. Just apply some to your lash line and blend out with a dense pencil brush for an instant smokey eye that's not too dramatic.
- Great for the waterline and tight-line as well, however I did lose colour on my tight-light, at the outer corner of my eye throughout the day. It didn't smudge down my eye though, the colour just disappears..
- Still trying to hunt down the nude shade for use as an eye brighter in the tight-line.
- Blue and purple shades may be fun colours to try our if you're into coloured eyeliners.

Recommend for .. anyone who's in the market for a highly pigmented, creamy, super-blendable pencil eyeliner  which can you be used all around the eye and becomes waterproof when it sets.
